Nick Smith

Nick is a Midlakes Jr. Eagles football player who was injured in a. 1 car accident on September 1st.  Nick has suffered a significant head injury and is presently hospitalized at Strong Memorial Hospital.  Nick is looking at a long recovery and mom and family would appreciate your prayers and support. The Country Studio will be on site August 30 @ 5:30 for football and cheer pictures.  Please watch for an envelope to come home from practice on Friday August 19 to select your photo package.  football players will need to wear their practice jersey but bring your game jersey.  information about the order of photos etc will be posted on fb web and email.

equipment

all male tackle football players are required to wear a protective cup and athletic supporter for games and practice.  this has always been required but will be enforced this year.  any player who is required to have one will be ineligible to play without it.

Black and Blue Scrimmage

The Midlakes Varisty will play their annual Black and Blue Scrimmage on Saturday August 20 @ 4pm on Ollie Cook Field.  The Midlakes Jr. Eagles are invited to attend.  Come out and support the Varisty Eagles as they get ready to defend their Division Championship

Practice Schedule

All practices are limited to 10 hours/week until the first game.  Since scrimmage is a practice we must cut 3 hours out of our practice schedule this week.  We will practice from 6-7:30pm for the rest of the week.  Next week we will resume 6-8:30 pm until our first game on August 28.  After our first game we will practice Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 6-8pm.

Football Scrimmage

We will be participating in the annual scrimmage at Lyons High school on August 20 at 9am.  Teams should plan to arrive between 8 and 8:15 unless told otherwise by your coaches.  All tackle football teams will be participating.  Flag teamers are welcome to attend but will not participate in the scrimmage.  A team will be scrimmaging on Lyons field turf so only water is allowed.  This scrimamge is a charity event to support Camp Osewena and a $1 donation/person at the door for all coaches and spectators is requested.  There will be many drawings and give aways throughout the day including a grand prize of an IPAD II tablet computer.

Equipment hand-out will be Friday July 22nd from 6-8 pm and Saturday July 23rd from 9-1 . If any player still has a balance due that will need to be payed first before receiving any equipment.
